    Description

    This is a RARE Vintage WWII Postal Souvenir Folder titled “Camp Shelby / Mississippi”, as well as 14 other Postcards collected by the same Soldier. The folder was posted in 1943, and includes 18 accordion attached postcard sized color photos of the Camp & its soldiers. The folder is in Great condition, with only very minor wear from posting, and has the hand written name of the Private that sent it in one upper corner of the front cover. He was from the US Army 116

The postcards include views; 2 of Camp Shelby; 6 w/ comic Soldier illustrations; 3 of Hattiesburg Mississippi where the Camp was located; & related postcards of; Eola Hotel / Natchez Miss.; Connelly’s Tavern / Natchez; & the Little Pigeon Gorge of the Great Smoky Mountains. Only 7 of the cards were posted, most from 1943, and all of the cards have a hand written brief description by the soldier, on the backs, as well as a printed description of the view, for some.
