Vtg Native American Birch Bark Sap? Bucket 5" W/Handle Child's?
This is a wonderful old Maine birch bark bucket. This may be fashioned to be a sap bucket as it has a hand carved handle. This stands 5" with the handle attached the bucket itself is just under 2.5" and is made of white birch. Found here in central Maine it may be a Penobscot or Micmac piece although I am not certain. This has a hand carved handle movable attached with small nails which have a nice patina. There is some minor peeling to the section where the birch is attached and some staining in red. I am not sure if this can come off. It has a fabulous patina and is old. This is from a smoke free home. Postage is .60 with insurance required.
