This listing is for a beautiful Huron feather and birch bark fan. This has a feather top and the handle is made of birch bark etched with stars,hearts,and foliage. This has 2 very different sides and measures 16" X 17" and the small feathers on the side with the 2 types and sizes of feathers has a few missing on the left side of the fan. The striped feathers make up the larger feathers while the fluffier feathers are in the bottom front of the fan. Laces bind together the birch bark to the feather portion. Please refer carefully to the photos as this is hard to describe. I do not know if the darker areas on the birch bark are due to age or ? Not much appears to be available online to research the item.
