Up for auction is a Sioux Metal Lance Point that is 4-3/8" long. It does not look like it was ever made to be shot with a bow. It looks like it would be used as a spear or a knife. This piece is a field found item. It was found near mobridge, South Dakota. The base has 3 notches on each side. This, as most authentic steel arrows, has had multiple resharpenings. The thing about Clem Caldwells artifacts is that there is a very good chance that these pieces are pictures in Baldwins or early Prehistoric Journals as a lot of his artifacts were pictured.
