    Description

    SIKSAKA FIRST NATIONS SHIRT ( BLACKFEET ).
    This shirt dates from the early twentieth century and was made on the SIKSAKA reserve in ALBERTA.
    This shirt was made from a red wool fabric ( Canadian Army fabric or even a very fine wool blanket ).
    On each side a very pretty beaded band with very  with very fine white, red and blue pearls representing geometric patterns.
    On the neck of the pearls with a very beautiful feather as well as thongs (elk ? ) finished with pearls.
    We find these straps with pearls on the sleeves.
    Height of this shirt : 75 cm.
