    Description

This piece is an original, authentic Wabanaki canoe cup that was carved out of a burl. It is estimated to be at least 150 years old. This stunning artwork is topped off with an otter carving, complete with intricate tail, legs, paws, and facial details. Indigenous people would attach these canoe cups to their sash, and use it to drink from the river while canoeing. This cup still has the original binding an indigenous person would have used this for. Obtained from a private indigenous collector. Condition is like new and is unaltered from its' original state.
