Take a look at these unusually large Ghanaian bauxite beads. Bauxite, also known as "aluminum ore," is a brown stone indigenous to West Africa. Ghanaian artisans have been making beads using this natural material for generations. These beads measure approximately 11-16mm in diameter, with a hole size of 2-3mm. Each strand measures approximately 28 inches in length. Unusually large size. Great as a wall hanging or for jewelry that makes a statement! Limited supply available.
